(More customer reviews)what a fantastic book! not only is it filled with great pictures of his flash, it also has a ton of his sketches, stencils, great photos of his work on skin, and letters that illuminate the life of the man that gave us this wonderful art. it is an in-depth look at the life and times of sailor jerry and his honolulu of the 40's, 50's and 60's. awesome, awesome, awesome! as an aspiring tattooist, i was deeply inspired not only in pursuit of the art as a career, but by looking at the photos of his work in the flesh, it has also given me direction for how i want to cover my own skin. i would highly recommend this book. it is worth every penny.
