I found it refreshing to see someone shed some light into the secretive life of the tattoo artist, which unfortunately is a "no no" for the tattoo world. I agree with the author whole heartedly that knowledge should be shared no matter what the subject matter may be, otherwise how is it to be improved? I found the tattoo information to be accurate and useful and I loved his comment "A book does not make a cook" nor does a tattoo book make a tattoo artist BUT it is nice to have such an in depth and down to earth peek inside the technical aspect of the artform, as well as some good information on what to do and not to do while tattooing. The only thing I would change about the book is it's cover, I would have loved to see a cool tattoo design from the author/artist here. They say you can't judge a book by it's cover and with this one it is so true. BUY THIS BOOK you will learn something and enjoy the information. The author talks to you, not down to you and I find that rather refreshing.
